Been a fun week and still have a few days left in Montana.
I killed this buck on the 21st when he made a mistake being in tve wrong place at the wrong time. That and following a doe combined with wanting to spend time helping my Dad made the decision easier.
An hour or so later, Dad and I found 2 bucks and a doe. One look through the spotting scope and I knew we found a buck for my Dad.
We got to 435 yards and Dad made a great shot, his best whitetail buck. Dad's not a quitter even at 78 years old and never thought about shanking a tent.
Took my nephew out the next morning as he finished up college mid terms. Rutting activity was off the charts had 7 bucks come to calls by 10:45.
I still have a b tag to fill and my brother has his a tag so we will hunt the last 3 days and see what happens.
