2023 Alberta moose.

What a great animal. My son and I are working on finding a moose hunt before I get too long in the tooth. What did you use for the rifle caliber and bullet. I have a few options but I am curious about what folks have used and which bullet. I know none of that matters if you can't put it where it needs to go.

300 win, hand loaded 190gr Nosler accubond lr.
It worked great. But in all honestly anything from a .270 on would be sufficient.
From my one moose hunt compared to dozens of elk I’ve personally shot or witnessed, the elk are way tougher. Take this with a grain of salt though as I’ve only been on one moose hunt.
