The 2020 Montana season started off with a lot of snow in central Montana. I glassed bigger bulls in areas very difficult to access after the shot especially with snow. I found this bull at 812 yards and stalked to 216 yards for the shot. I was lucky enough to have my oldest son Greg with me and three other great friends to help with the pack out. Now on to my deer tag, I found him almost 700 yards and stalked to 200 yards. Again I was lucky to have my son there to share in the hunt and pack out.124A519B-646B-443A-9E70-15FCE142A291.jpeg7B0E57D8-4F4D-4600-BF8C-1F67C3259550.jpegB8698C25-7210-40E9-A7DC-F7EE1B8F0733.jpeg

I’ve seen quite a few still sporting velvet and two bucks that looked like they shed already??? I was thinking the extreme cold that came in shocked their systems enough to do it? I’m no expert just speculation. Congrats on the success.

I’ve heard of a couple shed out bucks as well. Seen the sheds of one. No clue 2020 I guess.
