2018 Alaskan Summer

Didn't get to go up to my cabin in 2017. Didnt get my boat ready so i had to fish out of a kayak. I like fishing out of a kayak. Spent July to Sept fishing.hiking,kayaking and build a bathroom. Fantastic.

Looks like you had a great summer. The oldest son and I went to Hope and fly fished for pinks, I got 9 and got 28 in 2 hours. Since I don't like pinks, they were all released. Took the youngest trout fishing, and we had a good time. Outside of that, I had limited fishing as I left in late July for my contract gig overseas. I can't wait to finish this up and be back in time for the silvers next summer.

That is so cool to be able to catch salmon in such a tranquil setting. Complete opposite of fishing the Or/Wa coast. Are those free jumpers or hooked up?

How do you get those salmon to leap right into your lap like that, even three at a time? Looks amazing.

All free jumpers taken with my phone as all the pictures are since i didn't have a camera. To catch them jumping I just sit in the kayak hitting the picture button and go back and delete the ones without fish. I have a pile of cool fish jumping pictures.

That little picture is the northern lights. My neighbor took it. My phone pictures wouldn't do it justice.
