2017 Montana big game combo vs elk combo sell out?

I am trying to dig up any threads on last years deal where there actually combo licenses sold out. I am basically all in for elk and a deer is just a bonus animal where I go. So I was wondering if it was the Big Game combo that sold out and was there left over Elk combos available?

There were elk combos left over for quite a while, but the big game (elk & deer) were sold out and deer combos were gone within a day or two (if memory serves me).

Deer combos were gone in the draw there was none leftover . 1,000 people got turned down for the deer combo . 500 were denied for the big game combo . There were elk combos leftover . However around November 1 you could buy deer combos and big game combos that got returned
