When I lived in Missoula, Craig and Al on Z100 radio had a Great Pumpkin hidden in town every fall. There were clues to find it, and it was full of local coupons. My friend Kobe found it one time.

That’s really a better venue for this sort of gimmick.

Edited to add: Apparently they still do it, hardcore antler hunters consider yourself called out. Do you have what it takes? Do you have the wolf within?

I'm not familiar with the app, but this doesn't bother me that much. These ones have already been found and then dumped back out there, at least some kid might have a chance of picking them up and winning the cash...
