1/2 off Mountain House

Last year at Costco I picked up an MH emergency bucket. 128 meals for $70. Idk if it was a one time thing, but comparatively the current sale doesn’t seem like a very good deal.

A lot of the 10# cans aren't enough calories for 1 person for 1 day. I think Alfredo is about 3600 for a can, I'll bet most of us burn 4500-6000 calories a day while elk hunting. Something to consider

A #10 can of beef stroganoff, my usual favorite for an example, has 10 servings per can. Thats at 1.5 cups and 280 calories per serving, 2800 calories per #10 can. @Bigjay73 I get your point, but not sure Ive ever replaced all the calories I burn. My usual is 1 cup of beef stroganoff, plus some idahoan potato mix, so maybe 400 calories? I pack lots of snacks though.

But at 1 cup per serving for me Im getting 15 servings a can, >$2 a serving with the sale price. Plus mylar bags, idahoan mix, and stay fresh packs, >$3/serving. Much cheaper and not wasteful like the ready made bags.

@FairWeather Thats a steal for 128 servings already bagged. Id buy that.
