Its 2025 man, get with the times. haha yeah they look goofy but if you're having a problem keeping the boots on... Maybe just don't let the other dogs see them wearing them so they don't get beat up for being a nerd.

Maximum point blank range and sighting in at particular distances...

Right around 2 1/4". I have lots of wide open spaces to shoot around me so I can set up a target at 100, get reasonably close and then go out to 250 to get it perfect.

    Fleeced In Seattle

Goddamn. I'm landlocked in Alberta, 1000kms from the coast (615 miles for you Yanks) and King crab is $40/lb. Can get a sablefish for $30 if you know where to look. That is crazy.

How do you determine who is shooter?

Whoever saw the animal first, gets first dibs. Only usurped if a first timer is hunting, then they get first dibs, unless it’s a trophy caliber big ol beast, then it sticks with whoever saw it first. Those are few and far between though.

    10lb rifle for elk hunting

My main rifle is about 10.5 lbs loaded. Its not a weight that affects my hunt. I prefer a heavier rifle for the benefits in regards to recoil tbh. Also for the feeling that if I drop it that it won't immediately break, but that's not based on science or anything haha

    Howa Superlite - my experience

Yes sir. I'd imagine if one of Howa's more 'premier' line of guns has problems, the more basic lines would as well.

Weatherby 307 - anyone tried one yet?

I have one in 300WM. Accuracy is nice, and Weatherby quality while still having access to all the R700 aftermarket is nice. It is a heavy pig so eat your Wheaties if you're gonna be carrying it around the bush. Everybody with their panties in a bunch about Weatherby making an R700 clone is...

    Howa Superlite - my experience

Had my eye on a used one of these in 6.5 PRC in a composite stock at Cabela's. This thread has given me some pause though.
