    I would go with 7 mm mag. If u look around Browning made a 1@8 twist 26-inch barrel. I have a new Browning. A Xbolt Speed Long Range 280AI. Mine has a 1@8 twist and 26-inch barrel. Ammo isn't that hard to find for 7 mm mag. The 6.8 not alot of ammo choices.

    Nice bear!! Arkansas opened yesterday. White Oak acorns started falling. Bears isn't hitting the bait hard now. I still have some hitting mine. One I seen yesterday. Looked to be a young bear maybe a 2 yr old.

    We have a ton of whitetail and hogs. I did apply for our elk permit today. Cost 5.00 to apply and if u get drawn. 5.00 dollars is cheap price for a elk tag. Got alot of bullets to try now.
