I haven’t held either of these but have seen some other Stocky’s stocks. They have been pretty nice especially for the price. The Peak 44 stocks look pretty good too.
Their site makes it sound like it’s a lot of effort to make a Tikka version.
I don’t have any skin in this game. I’m just letting people know that there is already a very similar option out there.
No adapter. 5/8x24 threaded about twice as long as normal with a collar loctited in place for a shoulder. Maximum thread diameter is .625” and the barrel diameter before threading was .635 or slightly more. Works great without any tolerance stacking.
True, but you’re not on a waiting list for something that may not happen. I don’t think UM was prepared for the amount of sales they would get, but I bet they figure it out before this other more expensive option even exists.
If you overlap most of those shots I bet you are within the rifles cone of fire. Pick one of those loads that you like the velocity of, load up 10-20, and see what it does. The stringing will probably look more like a circle.
The Innorel tripods get good reviews for the price. I wouldn’t be surprised if they make some of the higher priced brands, just rebadged. I have a Zomei aluminum one that works good for the price but if I upgrade to carbon fiber I’ll try one of the Innorels.
Your optics are always straight line of sight to the target. The barrel is angled up in relation to optics line of sight which sends the bullet through its arc.
Not a cup-n-core. They are bonded to the jacket. BC seems pretty close at least to 500 yards with the 190 grn 308. Shooting very well in my Tikka 300 WSM.
