The only thing so far is that I was planning on buying a truck in 6-12 months. That’s all but dead now, if these auto tariffs actually stick. Luckily I don’t actually NEED it, rather just want it.
Being in the early stages of retirement investing, I’m kind of hoping for a mild recession so I...
I do.
All game animals that I’ve seen have been at 100yds or less. All but 1 have been less than 30yds. No time to fiddle with working the bolt, not to mention the noise of it, before they bolt themselves.
We all carried a round in the chamber while deployed, and never had an issue then...
I’d like to hunt some nutria around here. Catch is they’re almost all in private land, and good luck getting a land owner to talk to you.
Most of the publicly owned land management seems to hire professional trappers to catch and kill them by the hundreds, so the few wetlands I can publicly...
Drew a tag close to home, so I’m pretty excited for that. It’ll give me a good reason to check out some places I haven’t gotten in to yet. That said, not really sure what I’m in for.
Question to those w/ more experience, can bears see blaze orange, and does it matter? I’ll be hunting...
Being outdoors is more enjoyable when the weather’s fair, so…
Ironically(?) blacktail is this far my favorite thing to hunt, and that’s best done in the nastiest weather you can find hahaha. I do like the warm sunny early season, just never actually expect to see a deer if it’s not raining.
Funny enough, I just got the most recent issue of Game & Fish and there’s an article in there from Scott Haugen, who lives about 25mins from me. He recommends hunting with a partner and sitting back to back while calling.
I’ve got a package with them that’s been in town since 10pm last night, yet still won’t be delivered until Monday. Why the 2 day wait instead of loading it on the truck today? It’d be far more convenient for me to have it delivered to the FFL today, when I have time to go pick it up, rather than...
Hey all,
With cougar and coyote being pretty much the only hunting that’s still open at the moment, I’m hoping to get some pointers on what works best for calling them in.
I don’t have cameras set up since I took them down in the fall, so I don’t have any actual info on where might have cats...
I have yet to shoot a suppressed rifle. You all make me want to, try it if just to see what all the hype is about. My wife hates shooting, but only because of the sound and recoil. Makes me wonder if slapping on a suppressor might change her attitude.
Can you imagine trying to stand on that I beam in those slick-soled dress shoes? Makes my hands sweat just looking at it. Even with a harness and safety line, I wouldnt go anywhere near it.
Those folks must have been truly desperate, fearless, or stupid. Maybe all 3.
