This is from the Summer 2023 WSF magazine article on auction tags by Craig Boddington. Unsurprisingly, he thinks that auction tags are necessary and good. That said, I'd guess the data set looks even worse for some states if you pulled the time horizon back to 2000 or 1990. We know Nevada has...
Thank you, can't believe I've never seen this before, but it basically tracks with what I've been thinking for a while. I don't bang the drum for R3, nor do I think Boomers going away is going to turn getting tags into a Shangri-La, but unless the data is totally wrong, there's going to be less...
Great write up, really put into words everything that part of the world has to offer. I hunted the concession north of there in 2022, and my thoughts for months after I got home were "How on earth do I ever get back up there again?" It really made me rethink some goals I had for hunting and...
TS Customs? Was considering him for some work and then when I found out he was associated with MF, told him no and explained why. He flipped out, went into full "didn't you listen to the podcast?" mode, I reminded him that he had my cell number and that I would be more than happy to have an...
I try really hard to understand the hunting industry and how wildlife violations are constantly overlooked, and everyone in the industry who can't stop giving the public their thoughts suddenly loses their tongue. I'm reminded of Hanlon's Razor: "Never attribute to malice that which is...
Plea deal to get him off the felony charge, probation, community service, no hunting in Idaho for 3 years. Plea deal documents below. Still can't figure out how these guys keep circumventing the Interstate Wildlife Violators Compact.
So similar to the Bowmar settlement, it looks like he's only lost his privileges in Idaho. What's the point of the Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact if it's not ever enforced for people like this?
Given they hunt multiple states per year, it seems like these would be the perfect opportunity...
agree, but at least they're not handing them out like candy to B-list country music singers and everyone with a camera anymore (at least I think they're not.)
These guys are the biggest marks trying to make it in the hunting podcast industry today, they gave Josh Bowmar a sympathetic interview and now they're helping rehab EarnIt Erik's image.

Appears that he pleaded guilty today and was sentenced. 90 day suspended jail sentence, probation until June 2025, just under $1200 in fines for Trespassing on Cultivated Property and Disturbing the Peace.
Interested to see if there's anything more to it and if he loses hunting privileges or not.
Apparently 170+, but they didn't post the score sheet like one of their other bucks which included measurements for broken points. I had a good laugh at that.
Countless hours sitting in a heated enclosed blind over deer they've patterned with feed while posting away on social media (and while the full time nanny watches the kids.)
I'd love to see any of these southern Iowa deer farmers actually try to kill a mature buck not on a highly manicured...
Looks like this is the new influencer poacher playbook:
-Get charged with a crime
-Pump denial content to keep the fanboys on your side (#1BadFishCop, “Fish and Game was trying to watch my wife pee”)
-Drag trial out to maximize content production and sell Ali Express sweatshop gear
-Quietly...
It's still up on their Instagram, they moved the deer all over the place to take their photoshoot, sans tag. Can't wait for everyone in the industry to circle the wagons, yet again.
Y'all are a bunch of haters, I work hard and grow big deer and accusing me of violations is you being poor and dumb , look at how cool and rich i am
/gets charged with a violation because of comments
Once again, influencers are truly proving their worth.
