    Which factory 280AI rifle?

Mine feeds flawless with 4 down. Are your bottom rounds dipping below the mag box?

    Bullet Failure?

Glad you were able to recover the animal even with the failure. The 143 used to be what I used, but I recently switched my rifle over to the 145 HHT to hopefully help with some ballistics, both in flight and terminal

Iron site graduations on rear ramp

As far as I know they’re really just indicators for where the sight should line up when sighted in. No correlation between impact and distance moved

    Action?

Unknown Munitions has a bottom metal and mag that has an OAL of over 3.5”, so there’s an option, but adding that brings the price back up to 700 clone territory

    Action?

My first custom was on a Tikka and it was easily 2/3 the price of my full custom 700. ETA and I did all the work on my own since they accept prefits

    Which bullet for 30-30?

2” is good enough for the 200 yard range of a 30-30. Practice and kill. It may be that the load tightens up as you get past 100 as well.

    New Hornady Gadgets

they left a bunch out of their release vid, like the new 138gr .257 A-Tip. G7 of .350 seems pretty spicy to me. Need to get the 25-06 fast twist barrel I have spun onto something.

Stuff you don't like for no good reason

I also don’t like adding “antelope” to pronghorns, since they’re distinctly different and very distantly related.

    Dumb Question of the Week

Like addicting said, it’s just the pressure curve created by the propellant.

Stuff you don't like for no good reason

I think the French demonstrated that the crossbow was a more effective weapon for a wider array of people [than a longbow], but I’m no historian We’re all about ethics here, so the disdain for crossbows (which are very often more accurate) doesn’t make much sense to me. ETA: me forgetting my...

Stuff you don't like for no good reason

The current FN produced ones are better made than any Pre-64 was. There, I said it.

Stuff you don't like for no good reason

Not to be contrarian on purpose, but Mahomes always seems to me like a classy guy, even if he knows that he’s a great QB. I’m a Bengals fan and see the way Brrrrrow presents himself and it’s night and day to me

I agree with every single thing here, especially the last one. I’ll pay more for hex or torx!

Lefties are loved over in Europe. Not here. Tikka offers most if not all of their models in lefty, whereas here they’re only imported in 3 models. It’s a sad like being a lefty shooter in the US. But that’s why you build custom 😎
