it’s a good bullet. My dad took a bull elk with the 180 in his 300 WBY a number of years back. Only needed one shot and it did the job like any other partition.- nhenry

What are you currently reloading?
I’ll be loading all of my remaining 145gr HHTs in my 280 AI in the next week. Got a good load put together in November and just haven’t ran another bulk batch.- nhenry

Faster Powder For Hammers?
Congrats on the hunt! Glad you’re putting that 257 and the Hammers to use. I’d say shot placement has more to do with the blood trails than anything. Back when I used lead if I shot high I wouldn’t get anything. If I shot low I’d get massive trails. I haven’t had a deer take a step since using...- nhenry
