Do I need 4WD? How Capable is Subaru Outback?
The threaded bolt you reference is intended to be used for controlled, straight in-line towing. It is not meant for angled dynamic recovery on a stuck vehicle. It may be fine as a last resort but I will not rely on it.- flux

Tires for a Crossover
The Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail are the only A/T tire I have found specifically designed for crossovers, I plan to put a set on my Subaru Outback next month. They are lighter and quieter than most A/T tires (e.g. BFG KO2) that were made for trucks.- flux
