    If one wanted to pick up a last minute deer tag in CO right now, is there any method to do so? Landowner tags/re-issue? I'm guessing the Tuesday re-issue doesn't have tags at this point?

    314 occasionally has a big bull in the private on the north end. 329 is a tough unit. Low private moose country, you may get some access on the north end. Most of the public moose country is thick timber with few access points from down low. Better moose units for the same odds.

    With a heavily roaded unit like 380, driving as much as possible during the rut and also talking to as many people (elk hunters, etc) will likely be your best bet. This seems true for most units that are relatively open and roaded, whether you are able to hike or not. They're hard to pin down...

    So likely no access to the random person without a connection to the ranch that draws the 441 tag? I've seen this on several BMA's in SE MT as well.
