Nice work! Great write up and I can appreciate your process. Interesting how so very often, I found hunters "choosing" to not harvest or hunt a specific animal because the drainage is too far, rough, or some other limitations they've put on themselves. Congrats on getting it done.
Shoot, just seeing this. I have a pending sale that should go through on September 20th. If not, i can let you know. Feel free to PM me for a faster response
Lukemac48, I'd love to hear what you ended up doing with your baits and what advice served you best on your hunt. This thread is a little old, but sounds like it was the 2020 spring season you asked the question.

Good luck on this hunt. I've read and heard that this is a very difficult hunt, but that doesn't mean it's impossible. If you can get a hold of a biologist out of the McCall office or Salmon office, they should prove helpful. I know at times they are busy and may take some time to respond to...
It's happened, and I'm still in shock. I got drawn for an Idaho mountain goat!
What's interesting is I've had my eyes on this unit for a long time. I started e-scouting it around 5 years ago, with hopes of making annual trips in the summertime to explore the unit. My main goal and focus was...
This was a great read. Very interesting. Please do another one when you have your falcon. The story on capturing one and training it would be fun to read.
