    NFA Wait Times

Just got my ATF approval Tuesday. Took almost 8 months on the dot from submission to approval. Due to holiday mail slow down, fingerprint info took forever to get to SC, but still looking at less than 10 months from starting the process to approval. Should have can in hand within the next two weeks.

    FL Resizing Neck Issue

From what I can measure it’s not bumping it at all. Length to where the shoulder starts and where it narrows to the neck are right at saami length. Also measured against virgin brass and found measurements to be the same

    FL Resizing Neck Issue

I have found the issue, and as it turns out I AM THE IDIOT. Trialing the RCBS dies again today I decided to screw the die in further than the manufacturer recommendations. Fixed the problem instantly. Sorry for wasting everyone’s time on this. Thank you all for your help as well!

    FL Resizing Neck Issue

I have a single stage Lee press. I have followed the manufacturer’s instructions for setting the die up to the proper distance from the ram. I have experimented by screwing the dies further down and also to less than touching the ram, using both the Lee and RCBS dies I have.

    FL Resizing Neck Issue

That’s my next step, wanted to rule out any human error in the reloading process on my side before taking it to someone to check the chamber.

    FL Resizing Neck Issue

A resized case will not fit in the chamber without a sticky bolt. Bullet seating has not changed between virgin brass and fired brass. Based on my COAL gauge the re-loaded brass is sticking before it fully sits in the chamber. Pic attached of virgin brass and re-sized and reloaded brass.

    FL Resizing Neck Issue

Using same brand FL and seating dies. Seating die on new brass has caused zero issues with the brass. Diameter of fired neck is .346. I’m starting to think this is not a neck issue, but something else as some of the necks in the hard chambers are right at .344. I as far as .349, I believe my...

    FL Resizing Neck Issue

Hey all, I am reloading 180 gr. TTSX in Norma brass. When loading a new cartridge everything is just fine and the loads cycle like butter. I’ve started processing through my once fired brass to re-size using a Lee FL re-sizing die. Upon reloading these once fired cartridges, they would barely...
