This weekend was extremely quiet but assuming it had to do with the super high temps. 89 degrees isn't usual bugling weather. Supposed to cool down this week...guessing by next week it'll be on like donkey kong.
my first elk is the cow...
and the 2nd and 3rd pictures are how i realized my buddy and I hunt in the same place...ha. He was pretty happy when I showed him the trail cam pic of the elk he got.
i hope someone can update us with how this hunt goes. I'm really interested in hearing about it....thought about buying the tag but no way am i giving up opening day elk for what might turn into a crazy zoo. But good luck to anyone who goes after them!
I wrote a few letters to the editor throughout the re-enlistment era here in the NW and put up a wolf huggers article i wrote on my website a little while ago. Figured you guys might enjoy them. And here's a picture of my buddies wolf he got last year. Hoping I can bag on this year...
I took this and ended up putting it on a canvas from costco. It turned out awesome...u might think about doing that with yours as well. I think it cost me 18 bucks and its super nice to have in the house. I just cropped the trail cam stuff off of the edges.
We used a be the decoy hat last weekend and my buddy ended up arrowing this guy. What I've found from early season hunting, it seems like the antelope are a little less spooky when i have the hat on. When I don't use it, they seem to run off a lot quicker.
