Got her done on a small public land muley end of September with my CVA. Sure does taste good. Didn't see any big deer at all this year. Finally first Elk hunt, harder than you think!!!
Way to stick with it. Hunting in snow can be hard, but is also so much more productive in my experience. Congrats on a well earned trophy. Oh, and remember, there is "no such thing as bad weather, just bad equipment and clothing". You pushed through and got it done. Nice work.- Firehawk54

I have a brother and two hunting buddies that "balked" at the pricing. Once they saw them in use, they immediately went out and bought some. Regarding "needing more gear", I totally get that. I will be toting my CVA Accura in a couple of weeks in Utah. Mule Deer on a general season ML tag in an area I love and have had some good success over the years. Excited to get up there as I haven't spent near enough time in the hills this year.- Firehawk54

With the TC Impact, consider using a good conical bullet for elk. Something in the 300-450 grain range. Thors are a great option here, just get the sizing pack to know which version will work best in YOUR rifle. I need tires, what's the recommendation?
I wanted the Falken Wildpeak AT3W, ordered the Cooper Rugged Trek, and changed it today to the Falkens. Get installed tomorrow. I am sure the Coopers would work great, but I would always be second guessing myself as all of my research led me to the Wildpeaks. Hope it pays off.- Firehawk54
