The 2nd amendment was wrote for the peoples protection from the government, not for hunting period. Also 3.5% of violent crimes where commited by so called "assualt wepons" so that dosent really address the problem.- Maineguide

First animal of the trapping season
Coons Friend of mine here in Maine makes trapping scents he has a couple good coon baits made with lobster bodys, check him out on facebook, Full Response Scents. He's pretty serious about his products and I have heard others say they love his stuff.- Maineguide

I think 2rocky may be right I dont think I could get used to the prairie. Elk, Whitetail, Mule deer, and Bear in that order. I guess what I am looking for would be good Elk hunting and good Whitetail. No matter where in the state I end up in I will always be closer to Mule and many other...- Maineguide

I dont know how you made out but if you didnt get drawn keep trying, as Mainiac said September is better for the rut but October is still good. Moving to MT
My family and I are looking to relocate to Montana, huntng and fishing is a big part of our life. I may be opening up a can of worms here but, I was looking for some ideas on what regions of the state would be best for hunting/fishing big game is my preference.- Maineguide
