I don't take shots at game at that 500 yard range, but I do use a very capable rangefinder to plan a stalk, seeing where the animal is and then looking for a good path and landmarks to get to a close shot opportunity.
Kudu was my dream animal on the first trip, so I'm partial to a shoulder mount of that one. Impala and warthog look great as euro mounts. If a kudu doesn't work out I'd lean towards the bushbuck and springbuck. Where are you headed?

Last month we (my sons and I) hosted another 2-day match for the PRS. These rifles are a bit different from your typical hunting rifle, but a lot of fun! The match winner was Nick Gadarzi, he's been having a great year so far. Here are a few pics and a video of the match.

Like many commenting on here, I prefer to use a bipod and rear bag and can definitely shoot better groups than with a Lead Sled. I think @p_ham in post #19 gives a very accurate answer. I had a Lead Sled once and just gave it away.
