Ill be moving down to Reserve NM next month for work. I was wondering if anyone on here had any experience with the area such as culture and environment. Wondering what other hunting opportunities there are besides elk and deer. I know its in the heart of the Gila, but drawing elk tags in that...
Really fun hunt with a friend, got her only two hundred yards from the road on our first morning. She had a small bull with her who didn’t want to leave. Super excited for all the awesome meat. Amazing how big they are.
Doing a remodel at an old house in Denver and found this newspaper being used as insulation in the wall. It’s from 1942, has lots of clips about WWII. I can’t believe in how good of shape it is in.
I have for sale a Mystery Ranch Metcalf, size S/M. Side pouch and holster included. No rips or tears. Great condition. $325. Buyer pays shipping. This is listed in multiple places.

This year I got lucky and drew a 2nd season nanny goat license with only three points for Colorado unit G12. The Maroon Bells wilderness area is in this unit and although it is filled with a lot of tourist, it also has some astounding scenery and extremely steep mountains. To say I was excited...
I have no experience in sizing and scoring elk.…so what do you all think this elk would score. Im guessing he’s over 300”? Definitely one of the biggest elk I’ve ever seen. But that’s not saying much.
I was out today looking for some sheds and came across about 8 dead deer and elk all in the same basin. All within under a 1/4 mile of each other. I don’t remember us having that bad of a winter….
Any ideas? This was near Kremmling.
This year in the leftover draw I drew a late season cow elk tag for a well known migration corridor in CO. After waiting for some fresh snow I was able to go up last weekend. And boy, were the elk coming down. There were hundreds of them all pouring down the mountains. The only problem was they...
My grandpa, a Marine who served back in the 1950’s, just tested positive for COVID today. He also has pneumonia. He’s in the hospital and all prayers are greatly appreciated.
