I’m happy to share with my HT friends I’m retiring! After 36yrs in the auto industry with one employer, hitting the age of 55 I’m eligible for retirement, my last day is Monday, Aug. 5th for the obligatory exit interview & laptop/phone turn in, then I’m free! Many co-workers and friends have...
Subject: '07 Tundra SR5 Double cab 4x4 4.7L V8, immaculate condition inside/out, 80k miles.
A good buddy of mine owns this truck, he's going to sell it but I have first dibs on it. He picked this up last year from the original owner, 80yr old guy with 70k miles on it, always garage kept. It was...
What kid doesn't need their own bugle tube to drive Mom crazy and make Dad proud? Yes it's been used so you'll want to clean it.
Free for kids only please, I do ask you cover shipping.
Try a Golden Retriever! I'm pretty sure he's not digging the bites to his muzzle and tongue, although I'm certain it won't stop him from doing it again. IMO, as destructive as these critters are any dead one is a good one! Good boy!
Well crap can't get pics loaded at the moment.
MSR Hubba 1p tent and Gear shed. Great condition, approx 6-7yrs old used on three hunts. Not splitting the package, $100 + shipping.
I can dig up a pic of it set up if anyone needs.
Who else has ran across a "catch a poacher trap" in the field?
Last fall @Mthuntr and I rounded a bend on a FS road and caught this guy staring at us about 75yds out.
Anyone have any pic's of "catch a poacher trap" set ups? Post up your pics!
I'm sure most of us have experienced being a part someone else's first animal harvest. Two years ago I had the privilege of being right beside Gerald & his oldest daughter Olivia when she harvested her first elk (6x6 bull). I remember the intense pursuit the young lady was being taught by dad...
Harvested this guy back on 11/7/18. Not much of a story, got in stand, 15mins later he walked by nose to ground grunting. Had one trail cam pic of him back in Oct. Can't really see in pic but his right G2 is identical to the left side with that split, add the kicker on the right and he's an...
Yesterday I picked up my 2017 animals from the taxidermist, lot of great memories. Also dropped off my 2018 Whitetail, I'm guessing my taxidermist can keep his electric on.
Yesterday was my first time trying ice fishing. A friend of a friend had all the gear, he brought it over and we got all set up. It was a beautiful day, ice was 10". Kept 103 fish, all bluegill with 7 largemouth mixed in. The bass were caught on minnows with tip ups, bluegill was on wax worms we...
I've seen this deer the last 3 years and passed on him, he's always been just a 6pt. Wednesday evening I stuck him, shot was far back, left him until after Thanksgiving dinner next day. Picked up blood trail which pretty quickly dried up. A friend and I gridded off my woods with no luck...
I got back Sat. night from a week of the Mt. rifle opener. Since I owed Gerald big time for some pack outs the main purpose of the trip was to be a second set of eyes and pack elk meat for Gerald & his daughter Olivia, squeezing in a deer hunt for myself would only be a bonus.
Without giving up...
8yrs in the making, finally an archery elk. Not the biggest bull on the mountain but this hunt sure was special. I'll apologize now for the long read...
It seems it's starting to be a common occurrence, when Gerald Martin and I go into the mountains, stuff dies! And pack outs are usually...
2016 elk & deer hunt Montana public lands
*Apologies for the long read and lack there of my story writing skills.
After an unsuccessful 3wk Montana archery hunt back in Sept. I received an open invitation from Theat & Gerald to come back out for general rifle to try to fill a tag.
Rewind this...
