Needing to buy the wife some binoculars

I would look at the Leica Trinovids. I think they are the best in the mid-range.

Montana House Bill 676 - This could sell off 1.25M acres of State Trust Lands - that's almost 25%!!! This is not the Homesteading Bill

Exhibit A in why transferring federal lands to the states would be a catastrophe.

    Money laundering

Might sound crazy but I believe you can turn them in to the federal reserve and they will cut you a check for the face value even if things are damaged. I heard a podcast about it years ago. Might be worth looking up.

    Predator Call recommendations

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Let me know what your recommendations are for mouth calls. I have a coyote howler already. If I lived out west that is what I would have gone with immediately but I thought the advantage of having an electronic call up or cross wind would be really helpful...

    Predator Call recommendations

Paging @brockel and the other predator hunters on here. l I am looking for some advice on electronic predator calls. My son (12) wants to learn how to trap and call predators. We nuisance trap beavers together and I understand the basics of predator trapping, but I don't know much about...

    Inedible

You might consider picking up a jacquard to tenderize the steaks you want to keep. I use one to tenderize roasts that I intend to marinate and grill. It works well and I just pop it in the dishwasher to clean. I learned about it from Hank Shaw’s recipes

Fly fishing in Scotland in August

I was stationed in Germany and fished throughout the continent. I never got to GB but researched it extensively. Bottom line is that there is zero public(as we know it)freshwater in Europe. The rights to fish a section of stream/river or a lake are typically owned by a local entity (town...

Camping Outside Designated Sites in Wilderness Area [RESOLVED]

https://www.pcta.org/discover-the-trail/backcountry-basics/leave-no-trace/finding-great-campsite/ Above is the official policy of the Pacific Crest Trail Association. It actually specifies that you should find a hidden place at least 200 feet from the trail or a water source to camp to prevent...

    Barnes lrx question

I shoot the 175 LRX out of my ‘06. My brother shoots the 168 TTSX out of his. Groups are tight and terminal performance out to 420 yds has been excellent. No experience past that. You can’t go wrong either way.

    Write offs as Hunting Guide

Best thing I ever did for my business was stop doing my own taxes and hire a good CPA. It costs me $500 a year and is worth every penny. You don’t know what you don’t know but I can almost guarantee that you are leaving a lot of money on the table.
