I don't think its immoral for a person to not allow public access to said persons property. I do believe that it is immoral to block access to said public's property. I believe corner crossing is a valid tool for the public to access public property.- DP_PublicLands

We are on the same page. What I mean by “their” is their deeded land. I’m probably the biggest advocate for public land and public land access that you’ll ever meet. Clearly defined boundaries are good for everyone involved. Clearly mark the private land and don’t restrict access to the public...- DP_PublicLands

That's what I'm saying. He'd define is property and not care what happens beyond it - including corner crossing to public land. I don't agree with your last statement. Its not immoral for a person to not allow public access to their property.- DP_PublicLands

If you cross knowing that there isn't a pin, aren't you crossing knowing that you're likely trespassing? So the intent would then be to trespass? Problem: everyone is assuming that there's no public access. The bill doesn't say that. It says "isolated" state parcels. Isolated from what? Other state parcels? Adjoining public lands? We didn’t know about it until the night before it passed the house floor. PLWA is following it and we’ve got most of the other conservation groups on board too to oppose in the senate. It definitely slipped under everyone’s radar.- DP_PublicLands

Look at how state lands are managed. That's how they HAVE to be managed by law - to produce revenue. If there's a transfer to the state, the land will be managed with an entirely different perspective - one that doesn't necessarily consider recreation.- DP_PublicLands
