Picked up this jeep xj for my son’s first car 5 years ago. Added 3” lift and 31” tires. Have learned a ton in the process of keeping her going. 245k on the clock and still going.
You have a really good local archery shop in your area and they are very knowledgeable and will set you up. My vote is definitely support the local archery shop vs a big box store.
I try to run "recreation" gas if possible as it doesn't contain the ethanol. I also saw a tip on cleaning carburetors with Hoppes #9 that looked interesting.
For my generator I know for a fact that the fuel in the line gets nasty. If it has been sitting awhile I disconnect it from the carb...
I question the lab radar - not the unit itself but maybe the setup/angle etc. without repeat measurements with same load it is hard to judge the results.
I used Zoleo last fall in Western Wyoming- I also tried out the iPhone feature. It’s ok but when you know you’re going to be out of service for extended time Zoleo is better. During our trip we had issues with our ATV trailer that required repairs. The Zoleo made it possible for me to give...

A lot depends on what you are stuffing down the barrel of the muzzleloader. With Blackhorn 209 powder, primer, and quality bullet in a sabot it is easy to get to $2 per pull of the trigger.
I’m with the rest of you that if a mountain lion is close enough that you can hit it with a shovel it is close enough. If he gets charged it will only serve to educate everyone to learn to use a shovel before you carry one…
As others have said - Leuko tape. Game changer for me was to realize that it’s way smarter to tape up before you develop a “hot spot”. Just realize pro athletes tape ankles before the game for a reason. Socks, boots, etc are way less effective than simply taping up before the hike.
My kids can shoot the 44 single shot pretty effectively and it shoots best with the hot 300 grain xtp loads I developed years ago for a super red hawk.
Agree it’s my least used piece of equipment- I do try to slice partially frozen even when using the slicer. For jerky I prefer across the grain slices that are relatively thick and can accomplish pretty easily with partial frozen meat and a sharp knife. Slicer is useful for cooked items like...
