2021 Spring Turkey hunting
Flew out to Maine to hunt with a buddy for their opener. Had a Great trip! Lots of birds. Opening day... 1st bird off the roost and in the bag 10min after legal-18lbs, 9.5 beard 1 1/4 spurs. Headed to the next stop and got on a group of 4 toms that came running across a feild-17 lbs 9.5 beard...- phutch30

Hunting Public land when you have access to private land?
I split my turkey hunting between public and private and occasionally hunt waterfowl on private...I do well on both but the edge goes to private due to less pressure. I dont elk hunt much on private simply because I dont have access...but I would for the same reason- phutch30

german bred dogs (GSP, GWP, etc.) are perfect skunk killers?
My buddy has a GSP that is the king of kings among dogs when it comes to skunks and porcupines..he gets into at least one porky/yr and every skunk he can..3 so far this yr already. My other buddy has a Griff that never passes up a chance at either...- phutch30

Another fun and successful weekend in the far East finishing up R7. My wife missed a mature tom on Sat morn and filled her tags throughout the day on two jakes. except soooo many others have max points and theres so few tags you basically just maintain the status quo..forget about all the new people putting in. Every yr people draw 0.0% something sheep or other tags with no points just because theres so many of them putting in- phutch30
