Don't see it as any different than someone with a deer tag hunting during elk season or vice versa. Go for it. Sometimes you can be helpful to each other by exchanging game location info.

After these responses maybe Venice LA is not the best place for tuna. I live near Nashville, TN and hoped to find something within a days drive. Would the east coast be better than the gulf for tuna?
I have done some offshore fishing. Mainly red snapper but really want to try tuna. I hear Venice, LA is a great place for that and I've done some searches on charters out of there on the internet. It would just be myself and possibly my 13 yr old son fishing so looking for a shared expense type...
To me that would be picking a favorite kid, I can't do it. I love application season, planning, anticipation, leaving for the hunt and the trip there, the actual hunt, end of day reminiscing, the pack out, the planning for the next hunt on the way home. Just can't pick a favorite.
