I’m 38. This time 2 years ago I was in the best shape I had been in since 23 or so. In the last 18 months I’ve had a hernia(surgery), a torn rotator cuff(more surgery). Get over that surgery and then my dad drops a 34ft scissor truss on me and messes up the shoulder again and then while...
I have had fusions in other calibers so weird thing on whitetails, like shatter on ribs. I would keep the 270 and find a mono or an Accubond/partition like stated above.
I haven’t fished that far down but Off the Hook is up in Hilton Head and he is great to fish with. Best inshore trips I’ve ever had have been with him.
I spent the most time in grade as an E-5 but I liked being an E-6 as much or more. It’s a toss up between the two. I went to Iraq as an E-4 on a PSD team where we didn’t wear rank and were all basically autonomous except for the NCOIC who ran the team, an E-7. Other than that I was completely...
If I were hunting with a muzzy and open sights I for sure would have a peep installed. Maybe even a globe front also. I say forget the scope and having to zero that thing twice.
I’m a fan of the 7mm. But, if I had a magnum, it’d be the 300. Way more versatile in bullet weights. I don’t have either right now but do have a 300wsm as my everything rifle.
I’ve read all the books. I’m happy they made that series trying to keep to the storyline. I was pleased with how they pulled it off. I hope they make more seasons.
I have carried for a long time, but don’t carry every day either. I think the best thing you can do is don’t rush into anything. First I would look into the laws wherever you are and even reach out to local law enforcement for advice. Then I would decide on a handgun. If you are going to leave...
I used the pressure washer with a 40 degree tip I believe. I added the dawn like others have said and also the 40 peroxide like was said also. Saw a video by Remi Warren {I think}, where he bungeed the skull to cinder blocks to pressure wash. Mine turned out ok, but there is guy down the road...
A Remington Model 7 in 7-08. I killed 2 does who were both at a trot at about 60 yds and a few year later killed a small buck as we walked up on each other and he took off. All 3 died pretty quickly as I recall it. Those were all public land hunts and I was a young man who thought he could do...
That double oaked Woodford is my favorite of those mentioned. My favorite off the shelf is a toss up between Woodford and Old forester and maybe Four Roses from time to time.
My Grandpa read me his stories all the time. First from the magazine and later as we collected the books. I still have them. One of my fondest memories.
With a quality bullet it would probably be ok I would think. But a 7mm would do it without the doubt in the back of your mind. That confidence can mean a lot. If I were shooting a 7mm at antelope I would have a 140gr monolithic bullet like a ttsx or hammer, etc.
My dad and son (9yr old), share a CVA scout single shot in 350 legend. It’s a handy little rifle. My kid loves it. They have filled a few doe tags with it here in Tn with no issues. Not real fresh on the ballistics without looking them up but I know we use the 170gr Hornady American Whitetail...
I drive about 60 miles one way, 4 days a week. I upgraded to a RAV4 hybrid last year and have never looked back. I’ve been keeping the ole Silverado parked for the most part but have been trying to drive it a couple of days a month justo keep the miles down on the RAV4. But man, that 39.5 mpg I...
Try this. It should work. I have never used wood as a mold, only metal. So covering the pores of the wood with wax paper and then coating that might work.
