Tobey,
Good luck on your hunting, ours has started, but have only been out a couple times and haven't found any bobs. Then last Saturday I buried the snowmachine and tore some ligaments in my right knee trying to get it out   But Mr. Gato is cruising down this weekend and I'm taking...
George,
I know how it is with clients like that. You just can't seem to get it through their head that these dogs are valuable and its THEIR job to kill the bear when you get to the tree. I have also hunted several so called expert marksman that say they can hit a penny at 100 yds.....yea right...
Dang you Gatoman,
You just had to beat me didn't ya?...lol
Well its been snowing like SOB. we have around 8" here at the house with more on the way they say....Can't go tommorow, but Tuesday its off to play I go......congrats..you better get them dogs dialed in...only have a couple weeks before...
Hey George,

George,
Yup I know what you mean. Sounded like that Whiskey dog is A+ quality so I bet Tobey is ok to feeding her.lol
Well good luck on your cat season and I hope those dogs are everything they're sposed to be and more.
Hey George,
Nice pics. Boones a good looker....lots better than the guy standing bye him..lol
You guys bout ready for cat season? Our Bobcat season starts this wednesday..damm wish it would snow some. Then Lion season starts a couple weeks later...good luck and keep the pics comin...
Moosie,
If you want tom come here lion hunting, lets wait and put you in for one of the draw units. There are lions in these harvest objective units also, but the hunting pressure is alot greater and your chances of killing a good tom are less likely. Gato has got some good dogs, you'll probably...
Ruttin,
Gatomans answer is a good one. You need to be careful though not to blow the pads off their feet. Might want to check their feet after the first few times you run them. Good luck and keep us informed on how your doing.
Hey,
man if it don't snow no more this year than it has the last couple, we won't need to worry about gettin stuck :D :D We better get some snow this year. I really liked my Yamaha exciter for huntin, but unfortunately it lost a clutch last winter and wasn't really worth puttin alot of cash...
Hey Gato,
Heck yes I'm pumped. I'll really get pumped when that first good snow hits. LOL on the snowmachines. With my two and your two, hopefully we'll have at least one to hunt with when your here rofl. I want you to know though, you ruined my bear hunting in Utah forever. Heck after the trip...
Hey George,
I wish I was closer to. Man I haven't had a chance to get out once this fall. Damm work has kept me going steady. I tell ya what though, come kitty season this guy is gone, dogs are fat and need off the chain, work is gonna have to wait :D :D Catman
CC,
I myself like to carry a pistol when hunting both cats and bears...easier and quicker to manouver, also easier to carry into the tree. A guy wants to make sure he's a good shot though because if a wounded bear comes out, they don't always run away, sometimes they look for something to kick...
In Utah, 4 bears in 4 days would be awsome, but like Gatoman said: if your in bear country, like around him, and you have dogs in shape....2 or 3 a day wouldn't be a problem. Just depends on the bear population and the pack of hounds running I say. :D :D
Also to go along with what Big Sky said; I think some bears hit baits at night when your not in your stand. Seems to depend on the bear and his/her eating habits , but I do know that some hit baits after dark
