moosie the "invitation" is the threat i wqas talking about. and on other boards the fighting usually has to do with a product(wildlife tech., i personally like the caller and it's maker. some don't) never have i seen threats or degrading of people as i have seen here in thepast couple of weeks...
i visit four different boards nearly daily, but this is the only board that has an "in crowd" and only there opinion matters. i've only been HERE for a short period of time but it is pretty clear there is a problem here. this board IS growing daily and you all should welcome and listen to...
how did you all get started? i'm sure you all didn't just wake up and say lets be guides. how do you all pick your areas to better your chances foer your clients?
my wife and i were talking today about guides and outfitters and she asked me "these guys really make a living showing other people where to get there deer or whatever?" i said well i think they do.
so my question is this do you guys live year around off your guide money or is it a "side"...
i already have a call into the warden for around here, it just takes a bit for him to call back. i went out for coyotes this morning and was thinking about this "baiting for pictures" and i'm pretty sure it will be illegal. although i am wondering how the fish and game people attract a nuience...
my hunt will be in the fall but i was hoping to pattern one before then. i know i can bait bears to hunt them here in california but i'm not sure what restrictions apply to photographing them, which is basically what i'll be doing...initially. i think that i maybe illegal given what the end...
do you guys remember a story about 6 months ago about hunters putting salt licks just outside a national park and using it to harvst their deer or elk? is that legal up in the northern states(idaho, wyoming, montana)?

it's pretty interesting how you bring up politics here. this board is looking more and more cliquish. it seems you all have to have some one to gang up on, last week it was the canuck this week you all blow up BCA. who cares what he did or said! do you really think he is going to see a financial...
what because someone is a moderator and outfitter they are perfect?! i don't think so. how exactly did he decieve you and what exactly do he take from all of you that is SO bad! it's not like he raped your dog or stole your horse!!! give me a break!!!
how do you go about training a dog to track a bear or cat? can i use a german shorthair or is that a poor choice? how do you keep the dog from running off? or worse getting killed?
how do they work? do they need some blood to work and how effective are they? i am interested in a game finder to track a wounded bear but from what i understand a bear doesn't drop any or alot of blood. will a game finder help in this situation or not?
moosie your offer does sound good to me but i think if i hunt out of state i have to sell one of my guns or something! when i first got this bug for a bear i was looking up in washington but cost was a factor and the fact that you can't exactly walk into the forrest and get a bear without...
