Maybe I’m missing something, but why the opinions that the Superformance 165 gr GMX ammo will group lower at 100 yds? It’s a hot load but is the Nosler even hotter, or are we assuming a 200 yd zero?- Buckyranger42

Best Bang for your Buck
I agree with going to the used rack. My personal go-to for a used classic all-around would be a Rem 700 BDL 30-06. For a scope, a 1-4, ~1-8, straight 4...depends on definition of “budget”. BDLs are factory equipped with iron sights so you could skip a scope all together.- Buckyranger42

Recoil is sooo dependent on rifle weight/design. I sold a 7mm-08 because I didn't like how the 7-08 recoiled relative to my 7mm Mag and 30-06s. 7mm Mag was 2lbs heavier than my 7-08, 30-06 1lb heavier, plus I think you get more of a push than a punch with a .30 caliber vs 7mm. 30-06 180 grain copper bullet performance
Update: I invested in a 300 WM to provide more confidence using 180 gr all copper .30 caliber ammo. I'll still use the '06 for WI whitetail based on known max range I'll ever shoot at one.
