U can still hunt.
I earned a point for Elk and Antelope in CO (res) this year as I didnt draw my 1st choice. But i still managed to draw 2 Elk tags (Bull n Cow) and an Antelope tag + one more from leftover list. Opportunities are there to hunt every season and still earn points.
Being new...
Not sure regarding missing 1st rifle tag that i got and he didnt yet
As for wrong tag, it’s completely wrong person and address. So probably mailing vendor mixed up envelopes?
Person who’s tag he got is an older guy. But he does have an Antelope Muzzy tag listed on there 😁😁
Issues Confirmed..
I got all my 1st and 2nd draw tags so im set.
But i just learned that my BIL has yet to receive his 1st rifle Elk bull tag. We applied as a group and i got mine way way back.
Also for his Small Game license he literally got another Persons tag.
He’s been super busy with...
Thanks.
While i know im fortunate to have plenty of CO opportunities as a resident. Since i just started hunting last year i am trying to make up for all my younger years i missed. And am looking at WY as my next NR quality hunt state. And was a bit concerned if there is enough good ground...
Hey just to confirm. Only the Green Shaded areas are off limits to nonguided NRs.
Some parts (pure Green areas) of National Forests are still OK to hunt for NRs?
Thanks
CO multi year study shows that Hunting pressure and reduction in older deer do in fact help cut CWD down

I would be 100% ok If this just happened overnight: if all of North America Trout species went back to what they were like before any Introduction of Browns from EU, or Brooks from NorthEast all over other states, etc. i like catching Browns and Brooks here in CO, bur if it were back to...
One thing to add: you can get a puncture/leak in any Inflatable/SelfInflating pad from any brand. That being said i use my Xtherm for backpacking trips only. I have put decent amount of days on mine and have not had any issues. I am not careless with my gear, if anything i am actually pretty...
Yea i just had to double check their Zpad (closed cell) as those usually are made overseas. But looks like all i checked by Thermarest are made in US (from US and Overseas sourced materials)
Thremarest has some crazy technology in their pads that no other company can touch. You wont be...
Thermarest makes probably best sleeping pads on the market. they aren't cheap, but are worth every penny.
i have the xTherm which is their inflatable 4season pad. with 6.9R value it is super warm. i've been very happy with it.
mine is few seasons old now, so has the older valve, the...
This is great !!, i literally just looked up WI NonRes fees, and to help offset what western states are doing (raising fees) WI offers a First Time NR discount on licenses. how great is that.
i'm already googling how long of a drive it is for next season :) :) i'm 75% serious
any idea if...
thanks, good to know. i'll keep WI on my list for when i want a little road trip adventure. as an Adult-onset hunter (late 30's) and 2020 will be my 2nd season hunting. i have some catching up to do. so while i'm lucky enough to live in CO, last year i also hunted WY and NE. i figured...
Just out of curiosity. How much of that S.Carolina has public access? Wout having to lease land or owning land / having family friends to give access, A non-resident traveling there....realistically how much public lands hunting can we do? **same question applies to most easter states...
got all my tags,
1st draw tags were slow.
2nd draw tags were much faster to arrive
Leftover tag that i got for Antelope showed up super quick.
if you're still missing something from 1st draw, might want to check in with CPW for a re-print?
Kelty seems to have best DOWN deal. 0F. Same weight. But only $250
Its not in the Ultra Lightweight category, but still backpackable. If comparing specs to above bag they are very similar, while Kelty is at $50 less.

This was my first year hunting Pheasant and i did that. I tried some that i cleaned same everything when i got home and some i let hanging in the garden shed for 4-6 days( guts in, exactly as i shot them). With outside temps 30F up to 55F. Seems like its True-it does Make them taste little...
i like this median. go a little ways on trail and then off.
when i say i'm looking at 5 miles out, 3/4 i'd say is well traveled horse trail, but rest is just exploring through open meadows, some aspens and some dark timber. so final camp should put me just far enough off hopefully.
i guess...
