What are you guys paying for gas?

Had a Dodge Cummins then, 36 gal tank. $ all time high of $176 for a fill up when I let it get down to fumes.

    Torsion bar key leveling kit.

The day I picked up my ‘19 2500, I went to start a pivot on the way back. Probably 4” ruts at the pivot point, had it for exactly 16.4 mi. Went to the shop and finished it off with a sawzall.

    GMC AT4/GMC AT4X/GMC Denali or Silverado ZR2

I bought a 22 Denali diesel for my new seed business and to pull my camper in Cayenne red. It was so pretty I couldn’t help it 😉. I was going to get away from diesel to avoid all the def issues. GM separated the def pump from the sensor package so you can change out one without the other now...

Remington custom shop barreled actions. $400

Oops, forgot the chambers. Still have to be finished, reamers are on the way as well. Wednesday is probably too optimistic.

Remington custom shop barreled actions. $400

All my bolt parts (firing pins, ejectors, extractors, and bolt stops) are supposed to be here by the end of the week. I still need an extractor (turns out the bolt I thought was a remmy was @ImBillT). I was looking at another bolt when I said it was cut for a Sako. I haven’t been able to find...

    2022 spring turkey

Gonna try a red dot this year, put it on yesterday. Found some longbeard xr’s in 5. I’m gonna take back the $11/shot tss that I panic bought when I couldn’t find the xr’s. Drove over to my trailer at Ky lake yesterday to clear some brush and fish today and tomorrow. They were out in force...

    Spring snow geese

They lease some around here, but I’ve probably only seen about 10 of the big decoy spreads this winter. There are 10’s of thousands of acre of rice stubble within a couple miles of my place, a lot of them join me (I don’t grow rice). The 2 largest rice farmers in the state are right down the...

    Spring snow geese

You know what it can be like around here, if someone asks how many geese I always use the hundreds of acres covered by a flock so they can have a grasp of the sheer numbers. We haven’t had as many huge numbers, this year as the weather has fluctuated wildly and the freeze line has been mostly...

    Deer rifles for young hunters

I’m in the middle of putting new model 7 together for my 12 year old. PTG custom shop barreled action, picked up a used triggertech primary, just bedded a boyd’s laminate for it. Putting in the order today to finish the stripped ptg bolt. Putting a side bolt release on it. Haven’t decided on...

    Spring snow geese

It’s about to get late here, but if anyone want to roll their own hunt, I could probably hook you up with some rice fields here in SE Mo. We’ve had good numbers lately, but it won’t last much longer. PM me if I can help.

Is Ammo supply coming back at all yet?

I was looking for turkey loads as well, nada. I have 2 Longbeard xr 5’s that I love, should be enough, but you never know. So I went to academy to see what they had. Ended up with a box of 3” tss 9’s in 12 ga., $55. Only thing they had. $11 a shot, hope one patterns well, I’ll have 4 more...

    Any heavy equipment mechanics here?

Have no idea about your area, but here Ag techs are in very high demand. Deere is the number one ag equipment manufacturer in the world, so the demand should be stable. It all depends on the dealership group you work for though.

I just took the handle off and chucked a cordless drill to mine, has to be 1/2” chuck though.

    traeger type grills cheap versions

I agree 100%, buddy of mine has a bar and grill, he’s a pretty good grill man. He picked up enough catering to buy a rotisserie, charcoal/wood smoker with an offset firebox. His bbq went from good to amazing. I fancy myself to be a pretty good barbecuer as well, and I have worked for years to...

    Sous Vide then smoke?

No, just thinking out loud to you guys. I smoked some this weekend that were fantastic, but I got some really good chops. Buying pork chops around here is like playing Russian roulette though.

Another thing about the Toyo’s. They are eating up the aluminim on the bead on one of my trucks. Tire guy said they see it alot. Back to BFG’s for me.

    Sous Vide then smoke?

Due to covid explosions and other scheduling difficulties at the preferred venue (the local tavern😉), I’m having my company Christmas party on February 5th. Going to feed and wet the whistles of all my employees and anyone else who helps out on the farm during the course of the year. Going to...
