ISO .338 Accubonds

Bad factory ammo from Barnes
I had a similar experience with Federal Premium Ammo a few years back. Four bad boxes of 270 WSM. Couldn't believe it passed quality control. Bullet Selection for .270
No experience with Federal Trophy copper. Wouldn't hesitate to use either an Accubond or Barnes TSX, as I've killed elk with both. -

Copper bullet performance
I really like 180 TTSX bullets, and they have yet to let me down. They are super accurate out of both my 300 Win mags, and they just kill stuff for me. More times than not I get a complete passthrough, but heck, I've had elk absorb 200 gr bonded lead bullets without a pass through. Sometimes...- klampson

5x - 25x scope
For my elk rifles I really like scopes in the 3-15 and 3-18 range. I don't feel that I need more magnification, even with a 300 Win Mag, which is my favorite elk cartridge. -
How do you sight in your guns?
Bipod and rear bag. Not a fan of lead sleds.....- klampson

I have a 66I and really like it, very easy to use. I like to send my wife txt messages while solo hunting in the backcountry. I did however have trouble with two of my older On X map chips not working with this device. I contacted On X directly and they provided me with new replacement chips...- klampson

Colorado Copper Muzzleloader Bullets
I have three muzzleloaders, and all of them shoot BOR Lock bullets very accurately. I've used them on CO muzzleloader hunts, including my antelope hunt last year. I've found them to preform exceptionally well, and have zero complaints.- klampson

Barnes 160gr TSX (7MM Mag)
One of my 7 Rem Mags really loves 160 TSX bullets. Muzzle velocity is about 2,875 FPS with handloads. I've taken mule deer with it out to 422 yards, performance has been really good. Animals usually drop where they stand, otherwise they don't run far. I also load 140 TTSX, 145 LRXs and 150 TTSX...- klampson
