150gn TTSX in 280 AI
I really like the 150 gr TTSX. Load them in my 280 AI and 7 mm Rem mags, all of which have 1-9” twist barrels. Performance on deer and elk has been stellar, and I have a lot of confidence in these bullets. As others have mentioned, these bullets like a lot of jump.- klampson

3-15 vs 4-20
Most of my hunting rifles have 15x and 18x scopes, and I almost never use full magnification when taking a shot on game. However, I like the extra magnification when judging an animal. Does anyone carry tools to clear a barrel obstruction (mud, etc)?
Even though I generally put tape on the end of my barrels when hunting, I keep a small cleaning kit including a cleaning rod in the truck at all times. -

Second scope
Looking through the Kowa the image quality is brighter and crisper. -
Second scope
The two spotters I hunt with the most are the Kowa 773 and Vortex Razor 11-33x50. While the Razor is a good scope, and it fits my needs as a pack scope, the Kowa is just way better glass. I‘ve contemplated selling my Razor to buy a Kowa 553. -

Optimum magnification range on scope for elk rifle?
I have two rifles in 300 Win, one has a Swarovski Z5 3.5-18x44, and the other a Leupold VX-5HD 3-15x44. Both are awesome scopes. I like scopes with good glass and lot of eye relief. -

i would make Ikura - Japanese salmon caviar. Lots of YouTube videos on how to make it. It’s awesome over rice. One of my favorite dishes when I visit Japan.- klampson

Ruger or Savage
Ruger American over Savage Axis. Savage sure cut a lot of corners with the Axis.
