Bulls Only? OTC CO
It’s not a great tag to go after unless you live out there and have a ranch (or have the access and time to put in). Elk will migrate through but it is very hard to predict when and where. My best friend grew up and lives out east and has had that tag for 10+ years and still has yet to notch it... -
Bear spray carry
Being in CO primarily I normally don’t carry it. On that note, I was amazed at how many hunters I ran into this last week that were carrying it in the backcountry, especially with how much deadfall they were navigating. Guess people don’t know much about black bears 🤷🏽♂️- Jake.

Thanks for sharing, Ben! It was a good read, now I just got to find some ranchers that have a pesky elk problem :) In all seriousness though, knocking doors and offering to help with some ranch chores in weekends has gone a LONG way in securing access to some great antelope country and some elk... -
