The one
On the wall is 5'9" X5'9" was right at 280 in the whole .Skull was 18 11/16th's
Not much but I really liked the color .
Bigger than a lot of the bears I tree .
I ussually catch a couple over 6' every year and seems like every few years catch a monster or 2.
Nope
Those were still on the bear . ( No stretching if ya know what I mean)
Here is a small bear I let the air out of 2 seasons ago I just loved the color. Let 3 go that wre much bigger.
Here is a way that can get you in the vacinity of a measurement on the skull but still very easy to either...
Biggest
The biggest skulled bear I have killed( I did not shoot it it was over my dogs ) was 21 11/16th " it was just 380# and 6'7" but what a mellon Killed one more over 21 it was 21 7/16th" it was 7'4" and was 427 # .
Had one more over 7' that was just 19 8/16ths and 380#.
Here is one that...
Not just a good bear but a great bear there. Not many over 21 are killed every year.
Unfortunately he should shrink just below Boone and Crocket .
Skulls that size seem to shrink about a half inch .
Thanks
Thats ole JIm he is a super beardog and no sluoch at cat and coon either .
He is Plott bluetick and redbone.
But winding down on life he is working on 12 years not to many years left.

Check out
Snake river custom calls goose and duck . Absolutely gorgous work .
His name Is John Stocich and lives in Blackfoot Idaho You wont be disapointed
Me
I woulg go the smaller one . I can shoot confidently at more angles with being able to draw at any angle at that poundage . To me it is not so much a poundage issue it is an arrow and broadhead issue. As a well placed shot will kill from either. What kills deader a 338 or a 270:D
I agree
Shoot the one you have the most confidence in .
I would also go to a 3 blade I feel like it makes a better hole and does not seel up as fast . Bears are pretty easy to kill but they often leave very little blood do not give up be sure when you shoot and just know you hit it good

Nother picture
Just another picture And Jim my 11year old Beardog still showing those young bucks how to get it done . Don't know how he keeps doing it but he still gets it done .
I am hurting when he is gone as no others are stepping up to do his job.
would you be willing to ride
If so I could give you my cousins number. His party dumped 2 2 weeks ago.
Place I use to go and see lots of bears was Darrington on the whitechuck
