Here in Iowa I do not really shoot past 30 yards. Where I hunt I just do not have the need for it. I could shoot further with my bow I currently have, but if I am going to be driving 1500 miles round trip, doing all of the research, taking time off working, etc I will make sure to invest in...- IAhawks84

I do bow hunt. This is something that I've been thinking about quite a bit lately. While a bow hunt is obviously a lot more challenging, the seasons are better and as you said you have more OTC opportunity. I have not considered the UK. I was lined up for an African safari in April 2019, but that January we found out the stork would be visiting us in August and the doc said Africa was a big NO with the wife being pregnant. I'd like to try again maybe in a few years. I'll look into the UK though...- IAhawks84

I was out in the area hunting bears last year twice. I think we hit bad times but are there actually as many bears as everyone talks about out there? People talked like the Ashton/Island Park area is just crawling with black and grizzlies, but we didn't see much.- IAhawks84

Anyone use Bear Spray past 4 Years?
The times I've carried it, I used UDAP. I ordered on Amazon as we don't have any bears around here. I'm glad I did as prices seemed to greatly increase in hunting/fishing stores in grizz country. Do not let people make you feel guilty for spending money on something. If you have worked hard enough to afford something you want, get it.
