Oh yea......Juniper is very good wood. I have considered it but haven't decided as of yet. That would be cool to cut the tree for the wood to build a bow with. I have the Bowyer's Bible and Glenn St. Charles' book is in the mail. Thanks.....when I finish the bow I will post some pics. Can't...

    Idaho Moose

ELKCHSR....That is not me in the pic. That would be a friend of mine. He made the bow and killed the moose. The bow he made was a laminated wood bow. But I am thinking of trying a selfbow. I have thought of using yew. This would be my first bow when I get started. I'll have to see how...

    SHOOT or NOT to shoot???

I have a hard and fast rule that I live by. Never shot anything when it is somewhere you don't want to pack it out of. I have passed up a lot of game because of that but I don't regret it.

    Idaho Moose

Here are the pictures of my friend's moose. He was hunting in the Island Park area of eastern Idaho. He shot the moose with a longbow he made himself. The moose was taken at 10 yards. The spread was 42" which may not be huge but not bad for Idaho. <FONT COLOR="#800080"...

    Way Cool

A friend of mine drew on a moose this year, which is a once in a life time deal if you kill one in Idaho. He also built a bow for the hunt. Just got a call an hour ago telling me that he got his moose. He shot it with a 69# homemade longbow using a wood arrow weighing in close to 700...

Fifteen minutes into the flight from Kansas City to Toronto, the captain announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, one of our engines has failed. There is nothing to worry about. Our flight will take an hour longer than scheduled, but we still have three engines left." Thirty minutes later the captain...
