This weekend is the Traditional Bow Show in Ontario,OR. I'll be there on Saturday. This is a great show for those interested in traditional archery or anyone thinking about getting started.

I shoot a 62"longbow It pulls 58# @ 28". I use cedar arrows with Zwickey broadheads. It is light to carry and very very quite. Some day I may buy a recurve but I have been playing with idea of building my own bow this winter just for grins and giggles.

Yep it is pretty steep there but well worth it. There always seems to be birds in Rattlesnake Creek. Too bad I had to work sounds like you had a good day.
1. The watchamacallit is making that noise again.
2. I guess we should have checked to make sure the donor organ arrived before we started the transplant.
3. Scapel. No not that one, I need the curvy one.
4. Hey doc, isn't this the guy that arrested your wife?

A Wife Will Never Say To Her Husband
1. The hot new girl in my office is a real beauty, and a stripper too. I invited her over for dinner on Tuesday.
2. Are you sure you've had enough to drink?
3. No, no, don't change. I think it's cool when you wear sweatpants to a nice restaurant.

Depends on what you want to hunt. Private lands on the WMA's would be the places to go for pheasant. If you are going for chucker then I would try around Rattlesnake Creek or the Long Tom area. Those two areas are close to Mtn. Home.
I haven't heard about it but I did find this on the Fish and Game web site. It sounds like you may get a license at a reduced price. I don't believe that would include a tag.
Youth Licenses
There are some low-cost hunting licenses available for young hunters this year. For $6.50, a hunter age...
Sure is. I haven't seen that picture. Must be one that his hunting partner kept. You can't miss that silly look on his face or the ball cap from Jim's Lumber. :D :D :D
Take the road to prairie. Before dropping into Cow Creek park your truck then walk the ridges to the east. The elk will be above the river. If you get one down the easiest way to get it out is to take it down hill and ford the river.
Elk hunting can be frustrating. I have been within 80 yards of them this year and didn't get a shot off. :( :( If you are going above the Praire you should find elk but there are elk even closer than that.
Good luck.
I like the traditional muzzleloaders myself. There are many good ones on the market. I would look real heavy at the Thompson Center, Lyman, or CVA. You can also look at the Dixie Gun Works web site http://www.dixiegunworks.com/cgi-local/SoftCart.exe/dgw/homepage.html?E+dgw or order their...
If you're close to Mtn. Home go to cow creek. 20 miles from town and a 20 minute walk and you're there. Elk very where. :D :D Just walk the ridges above the river.
