    You guys are to high tech. Doesn't anyone besides me shoot traditional? One nice thing about my bow is it light and kills critters just as quick.

    Places to hunt around Mt Home/Boise

    Depends on what you want to hunt. Private lands on the WMA's would be the places to go for pheasant. If you are going for chucker then I would try around Rattlesnake Creek or the Long Tom area. Those two areas are close to Mtn. Home.

    Take the road to prairie. Before dropping into Cow Creek park your truck then walk the ridges to the east. The elk will be above the river. If you get one down the easiest way to get it out is to take it down hill and ford the river.

    Elk hunting can be frustrating. I have been within 80 yards of them this year and didn't get a shot off. :( :( If you are going above the Praire you should find elk but there are elk even closer than that. Good luck.

    If you're close to Mtn. Home go to cow creek. 20 miles from town and a 20 minute walk and you're there. Elk very where. :D :D Just walk the ridges above the river.
