Just having a quality tag and hiring a guide doesn’t guarantee that you’ll kill a bull. I know a guy that went on a guided hunt in New Mexico that never saw a bull. Outfitter told him and others in camp the day they arrived that over half of them would not kill a animal. Supposedly worst drought...
I was in the same boat as Frog and used my Pa date issue as a number. I followed up with what Khunter has advised and suggest if you get the opportunity to do the same. No worries after that.
Posting this for a friend. He asking $600 for a slightly used Hawkeye. It has 2 different diameter rods, light. If you’re interested or need more information just PM me and I’ll give you his contact info.
I believe it was Browning that made a head with spiral blades on it. Definitely the worst I’ve used and I’ve killed many deer with Savoras, wasps and bear razor heads.
Why waste bullets on break-in? Try different brands to see which shoots best then go with that. Ask your grandpa about his thoughts on barrel break-in.
State parks and state game lands that the public hunts on are two different things. The talk about doe season running concurrent had to do with cwd management in certain areas not the whole state. Just conversation not enacted yet. But I like the no more e-bikes on Pa Game Lands rule.
Did you lube near bottom of case and not just the upper portion? Is the cartridge all the way in the shell holder and in line with die prior to ram movement? Is this first time loading this cartridge or just first time with this problem?
I carry a Primos “hoochie mama” and a Knight and Hale similar but with variable tone control in addition to diaphragms. That way I can call a couple different tones at same time or run them together or whatever combo I feel is needed. For me the multiple sounds get more interest than just one...
thanks for the heads up. While listening to it my wife kept saying let’s get to the truck, get to the truck. Of course, she watches 3 channels on tv on the same time also. Not patient with punch lines either. Now I know, ”the rest of the story”. Thanks
The show was a hoot. Sounding like some of the adventures that I’ve been on. I’m also curious about the Toyota. By the way, I’m pretty sure Randy’s wife knows he’s a fixit kinda guy.
Nice. They released fishers in Pa. a few years ago to control the porcupines that were damaging the high profit trees on Pa. game lands. They’ve expanded through the state and now we can trap one a year during the special 15 day season but have to buy a special permit. Pennsylvania really...
I know a few lefties that shoot right handed rifles though I know that wasn’t your question but a consideration Ruger #1 is good for lefties also. Of the choices presented, I’d prefer the Tikka.
Thanks guys, he’s always on the go. On the way home from school, he saw some geese in the middle of a cut cornfield. I’m guessing what our next adventure may be.
