To answer your question, I have hunted Colorado twice. I had a great time both times. This site has a lot of information on it if you use the search function, but it may not be the best place to find out the best outfitters. I have no doubt you might be able to get some help, but the members...
Now I’m not wearing a tin foil hat here. People should live their lives and go to work like normal. My point is that some of the arguments people are using irritate me because they are misrepresenting the situation.
I find two of the points that are batted around here and in other places disingenuous.
First, the point about healthy adults and children don’t need to worry. Ok, let’s assume that’s true- does that mean screw anyone over 60, has asthma, diabetes, or other medical conditions? It sure feels...
I use a Stihl 044 with a 24” bar. Dad bought it in 1995. I traded him a smaller stihl for it when he got in his mid 60s. Runs great. I have use a Husky before and liked it, but every time the chain came off it would destroy the chain. Keep it sharp and tight and use stabil or similar and it will...
We are not a Christian nation by law or regulation, but we have been one in practice to one extent or another since the nation began. According to Wikipedia, almost 75% of the US identifies as Christian as of 2016. We could go over what fraction of that 75% are “good” Christians based on some...
I’d like to see full permanent funding happen whoever or however gets it done. If LWCF is being used for political gain, it’s a good thing-that shows there is still political value and/or power in conservation. It is also positive if this is a move back towards where one party doesn’t have a...
I hope this doesn’t go off the rails, but I was happy to see this earlier today. I think it is encouraging to see any politician pushing for the full funding of this program.
Environmental Engineer for a paper mill. I focus on air emissions but have been a certified wastewater treatment plant operator as well when I was doing double duty.
All this about needing more access to hog hunting is well and good from a recreational perspective but it does almost nothing for population control. The only way around here to keep the population in control is trapping done right.
My hunting partner had trouble with his buddy on a prior trip. Now, We are very clear about expectations before we go. Decisions to leave have to be mutual. We take multiple trucks so people aren’t necessarily tied to each other on where we hunt or when we leave. I’m a big guy and not very fit...
As an easterner who will Hunt mule deer, I like the intent of this thread. I think people are getting too hung up on score for their answer. Perhaps another way to put this question is “Can you post a picture of a mature, representative mule deer shooter?” For those of us that only hunt...
I have hunted the general area you are asking about. Horse hunting with and without an outfitter is very popular there. You can have a good hunt there doing that but don’t expect that you will be the exception, you will be one of many.
