Good deal! I was hoping there was something in the works. We need to be able to fight with both hands. Your SB134 podcast struck a chord with me. Personally, if a cause is worth donating to, I could care less whether it is a tax deduction.
Thinking on what’s been said about multiple issues (Colorado Wolves and Mt SB143 for example) it seems that we have a huge liability as an interest group. We (our chosen representative groups) don’t have the ability to lobby like other interested parties can. In general our favorite groups, as...
It seems to me that the outfitters haven’t planned adequately for the change from the times when we had leftover tags to now when they are coveted. Instead of filling a pipeline years deep like outfitters do in other states, they want to steal opportunity from the unguided community. To sweeten...
Yep, most of these type issues are decided on emotion not reason. Salmon may not be wolves but I suspect the same emotions will apply. I am affected by the “water wars” between Georgia, Alabama, and Florida so I understand how big of a deal this can be. All sides have legitimate and competing...
Is there any solid science on whether it will work or not? I think it’s a good goal to save the salmon, but as others have indicated I would want to make sure this is the best shot to correct the root cause not a visible solution that has no effect.
If his is like mine, it’s not just turning it off. It’s turning it off over and over, every single time you go somewhere. Not that you can’t, you shouldn’t have to.
Praying for them and all who are affected by this loss. Sometimes life is very hard and it is difficult to accept and deal with what happens. I pray that the lord will bless and heal them.
It’s faster but designed to shoot heavy for caliber bullets as well which has been the Achilles heel of the 270, or so gun writers have been saying for 10+ years.
Setting aside the whole “new cartridge equals more orders” argument, I think there is a logical reason for this cartridge. This is just another step in the search for a round that shoots far, hits with authority, and has low recoil. The 6.5’s may not have enough authority for some, the 7mms and...
I personally would put in for the hunt you wanted to go on and when I didn’t draw would do an OTC hunt in Colorado to get experience. I’ve been trying to get an Arizona elk tag and am learning elk hunting in other places while I get the enough points to draw. That way I don’t get a glory tag and...
I will also say this since you asked about roads, there are two ways up onto War Eagle Mountain in 19a. If there is snow at all and you arent chained, or if you have a big truck anytime don't use the road by chimney rock. the other way is much safer. We didnt know that and drove up chimney rock...
Their prices seem to vary wildly. They are $35/45 per 1000 on some brands and $250 per 1000 on others. They appear to have sold out of almost all except Winchester small rifle match which are $250/1000. I wonder if the prices that are reasonable will get jacked up as soon as they’re back in stock.
Good luck. I did the same hunt this year and it was demoralizing. We saw many, many other hunters. There is an old burn covering a good bit of the unit that is old enough for the dead trees to have blown down. This blowdown makes getting away from the roads difficult unless you’re on a trail...
