Stay off Facebook but love Instagram. I mainly follow company pages for the latest on new gear and sales. Don’t follow professional hunters but do follow a lot of pages that are photographers. Also love pages that show people doing dumb shit or animals being animals.

It’s mid February and the depression has started to set in once again.
Seems every mid February I go through it. Ice fishing has slowed way down and my mind is already on open water and enjoying time on the boat.
Little over a month and I’ll be able to take the boat out of storage hopefully...
I could be wrong but I’m 99% positive he said Janis wasn’t a true outdoorsman because his family skis on Christmas instead of hunts.
I remember even Cal being shocked by this.
Before the merger I was a big fan of Cabelas. Probably the biggest reason was because they offered a small military discount that was available with online shopping. So I would wake up a lot of mornings and jump on the cabelas app and shop mainly the bargain cave but other deals as well. Then...
Don’t listen to them.
I would much rather enjoy the 12 hour drive in comfort and leave the truck to walk than do the drive in a beat up war horse I can abuse everywhere I go.
To each their own!!
I didn’t know that. Interesting.
This would be equivalent to maybe a half gallon jug being dumped out. I don’t think it’s urine at all or at the very least maybe some urine mixed in.
Red bloody substance is not a pile of shit.
I guess I should of been more specific but I really figured nobody would actually think I was referring to turds. Guess I was wrong.
Yes I did.
The gear I wear while hunting or fishing or just recreating outdoors is a part of a kit just like Q tips are a part of my gun cleaning “kit” or aspirin is to my first aid “kit”. 🤷♂️
So yesterday it was -8 when I headed out ice fishing and I was wearing my Furnace base layer. After the long walk on the ice my legs were pretty sweaty.
This is probably where I would use them most. Ice fishing I stay mobile so no mattter how cold I’m not in a shanty.
I see First Lite has zip off base layers new for 2020.
I don’t know about the lighter weight ones but I know the furnace zip offs will have a place in my kit.
I can tell you I talked to a lot of land owners before season and it varied from $300 to $750. I did find one ranch that didn’t charge and the ranch I hunted and plan to hunt again this next season charged $100
I hunted 8 this past season and will give some insight.
I came second week of season so take that for what it is.
I never saw an antelope on public land the 5 days I was there. Now I did hunt private and seen a total of about 25 antelope on the property I hunted. Rancher told me numbers were...
South Dakota requires non residents to draw a waterfowl license unlike their neighbor to the north who gets flooded with non residents and in return gets a large influx of revenue.
Wonder if South Dakota might change to match North Dakota in the future to help with funding?
