I have one of these in 20 gauge, and several 12 gauges. They have been incredibly reliable for me, and I like them very much.
i sold my Benellis after being seriously disappointed - I’ll never have another inertia gun. I had M2s and Vincis.
One more comment, if I recall correctly the Optika 6 was pretty heavy compared to some similar size/power hunting scopes. Not ideal for a lightweight rig at all, but for my use weight was not a concern.
I have an Optika 6 I shoot on my match rifle. Typical 'cross the course' matches are fired at 200, 300, and 600 yards and I've shot a few mid range matches at 600 yards.
Tracking and zero have been repeatable which is super important as we dial elevation up and down as we change yard lines. I...
Agree, i looked over a new Ruger Marlin a few weeks ago and was impressed. I should have bought it right then, but waited one week and it was gone.
I don’t see the prices coming down. I think a good quality firearm costs money, and a Ruger doesn’t seem like they’re interested in selling...
I made my own for a couple hundred bucks. There's really great instructions on Accurate Shooter on how to do it.
I kind of agree with BigJay above, although it's not only a benchrest thing. If you're only doing it for hunting rounds, it probably doesn't make a lot of sense.
But if you're in...
Mike, are you saying you were flying a Prairie Falcon and Roach at the same time? Or was the prairie falcon a wild bird? Sorry if that's a dumb question, as I know little about what you do but really enjoy your posts.
Agreed with everything Seth has said so far. I was buying neoprene waders every year for me or my son. I got tired of it, and splurged on the Sitkas. That was 3-4 years ago, and when I don’t use them my son does. I bought the pair of Sitka sweat pants to wear with them when it gets colder...
Yep - I've shot a friends and then owned one for a while. It shot well, recoil wasn't all that bad. It was like getting pushed and was nowhere near as sharp as recoil from a 454 casull.
I ultimately sold it. It was so big and heavy, more expensive to load for, and didn't really offer much...
For higher volume loading, I use the RCBS bench mounted primer. It works great and I love it.
For low volume hunting rounds, I'll either use the primer on my single stage press or one of my Hornady hand primers. Both of those options work well and I've used them for years, but they really...
I only Go on the cheap if it’s something that’s easy to do and cheap enough that i could do it at least twice for the price of decent quality. I usually end up targeting OEM level quality, not necessarily OEM brand.
I agree with the above. Review youtube videos and understand what tools you might need. I'd also recommend going to 1A Auto's website. They sell parts, and I sometimes buy parts from them, but they also have really well done videos on how to do the work.
In the past, I've reached out to...
