I had this idiot hunting on my ranch ( 15,000 acres) and on night I get a call “ hey I got my truck stuck and need a ride “
” sure where are you “
” I don’t know “
” on a fence line?”
“ I don’t know “
three hours later I find the truck with no hunter , 1/2 mile late, no flash light, no phone...
As a NR, I don’t understand WY public land access, I see the court cases, but don’t understand how folks , can lock down checkerboard
patch’s of public for personal use
but that’s a different thread on here
Heck yeah, plugs , spare, water gas , satellite phone or receiver
be prepared for a long walk if needed.
15 miles doesn’t seem like much till you have to walk in heat or bad weather
When I was 17 , we got iced in on a ranch and had limited food on hand , and after a cold morning hunt in 16* weather, this family friend handed me some shotgun shells and says “ go shoot some quail , I am starving and we need 6-8 “
well we put those quail in some chicken broth and a can of...
Yep, Darwinisem . MD and bighorn sheep are getting their butts handed to them here by aoudad Sheep.
aoudad once were considered a nuance and shot on sight, then became a popular trophy and cash source, = no bueno for BH & mulie 😖😖😖

elk hording is nuts
The fouled up fish and game department in Montana & Wyoming need to issue thousands of prederation / nuisance animal permits to reduce their herds, if elk are requiring feeding stations and are also ruining the hay crops on ranch’s, stop paying ranchers for hay and get some motivation to reduce...
Everyone likes having a overwhelming population of elk for some reason, mule deer have suffered for decades from this frame of mind .
not a over night fix
I was a licensed outfitter for 30+ years, 85% of hunters are 50% safe
in the field, guns usually AD when you remind someone to do a safety check/ make sure are they unloaded after a stalk
I have had many one shot kills with federal classic on elk , but in .300wm , my .264wm was nosler partitions
no way I would trust ELD anything, my buddies father shoots a 6.5cm
with hornday ELD-x and they are very explosive on Texas white tail
I don’t think I would try them on elk or nilgai in...
