Completely understand the importance of Nevadans being involved. Wouldn't you think this deserves major national attention though? If this effort were to be successful, it would be the first state domino to fall with many more to follow. I don't really know what I'm talking about here, just...

I'll admit to not being that well informed on issues facing the status of public land, but what's discussed in this article worries me. In no particular order, my worries are: 1)...
Made me think back to the time we paddled the Snake. The shuttle service we used parked our rig and left the fob inside edge of the back bumper. There were quite a few vehicles the left at the shuttle drop, probably all with the fob in exactly the same place. Never heard of one being kiped.
Got a mulie buck tag in NE Nevada. Only issue is that the deer are REMOTE and VERY HIGH, making it very difficult and for a party of one to get one out solo. I'm talking 10 miles in and 10K elevation. Can't seem to find anyone interested to go along and help out either. Sure would be great if I...
Just got back yesterday from 3 days of mulie buck scouting. No sign whatsoever - no dropping, no rubs, no tracks, not even a doe seen. But I knew exactly where my fob was at all times!
Some great tales here. My PLB and FOB will be attached to my bino harness from now on. PLB hangs by a D ring next to the bino pocket, and the FOB goes in the little zippered pocket with another easily misplaced item (the tag!), after locking the vehicle!
Thinking through the list of potential disasters, my concern over losing a fob is pretty high. There are lots of ways this can happen. If it happened to you, how?
For you and your family, hope you get all the help and support you need. Thanks for sharing your situation. I know everyone on HT reading your post is send best wishes and prayers your way.
Been using that setup but now I find it annoying and want to strip all gear that is not absolutely needed. Using the gun bearer for carry with the trek poles and pack as possible support is what I'm aiming for. Best of luck to you this season.
The way you sling the barrel off the backside is interesting. I've been slinging it to the front where the release can be flipped and the gun just sort of falls into my grip. I do see there isn't any sling which is what I'm going for. If you mind me asking, what is that terrain?
