Disclosing SSN to buy hunting and fishing licenses.

I have one I give them and one I give my employer. That way if I take off work to hunt no one is the wiser.

There are some ban-happy gun/shooting/hunting sites in Ok.

Wait, was it the same 200 rounds of factory Fiocchi 240gr JSP, 100 Remington UMC 180gr JSP, 607 .44 mag reloads, and 153 .44spl reloads you tried to sell on Two Wheeled Texans and way back in July on Texas Gun Talk before that ban? That ammo? You mean it finally sold?

    Kauai to do's

If you're heading around south, hit JoJo's on the highway in Waimea for shave ice. That's the original one with the antique ice shaver. If you're into history, tour Grove Farm. Might not be a thrill for the kids, but it's an interesting view of the life the early missionaries lived. The best...

Do you keep your dogs inoculated against rabies?/Flea-tick protection?

Absolutely; however, according to one of his earlier posts in this thread he had 2 dogs in the past, but got rid of them when they got too expensive.

    French brittany

Might give Mark at classicbirdhunts a call. He's had a steady stream of quality French Brittany bird dogs since I first hunted over them in the 90s. His contact info is on their web site.

Do you keep your dogs inoculated against rabies?/Flea-tick protection?

Never insult a man's dog. Your grandfather said he'd shoot it. Of course dogs prefer to be shot with .308 as a .243 is more of a cat round. That said, I'm more of an old time purebred man, myself. Always looking for a classic old savage husky.Don't like a dog without a finely engraved collar. No...

Who here is a .308 Winchester hunter?

I just looked at my Winchester Silver Tip cartridges and they do not have "Silver Tip" engraved anywhere on them. I'm ot sure how much they are saving by not engraving them, but to me it's another sign of the overall decline in the pride American companies have in their products and workmanship...

    Quail and Woodcock Guides

Seconded. I’d hunt with Mark again any time.

Who builds custom WOOD/BLUED bolt-action hunting rifles built around Mauser controlled-feed actions?

Remember when boomers bought Japanese cars and instead of tearing down the engine and rebuilding it to painstakingly wring horsepower out of the big iron V-8 engines they just put coffee cans on the exhaust tips to make their aluminum 4 cylinder motors *sound* faster? Me either. :D

If you look up bloviate in the dictionary, there’s a link to these threads. :) On the other hand it’s worth it to see work like Renner’s. That’s beautiful.

Has anybody here recently bought a new over/under shotgun for under $700 that he really likes?

I'm waiting for the ground dove recipe thread. I put ground glass and cardamom in ground dove meat and serve it in canapes to the oldsters at my local chapter meetings of the Savage the Savage club. If it saves just 1 99 from having a scope mount Bubba'd it's worth it.
