Everybody’s responses are great! Personally, I intend to go until the wheels fall off. I screwed up the last couple years by not thinking strategically about how to get hunting tags but I’m going to make up for it.
If one is fundamentally healthy and can deal with all the things that crop up with old age, then it shouldn't be a problem. How old is the oldest hunter you know?
I might bite if prices soften up more. The 2019 Ram 2500 crew cab gasser long bed with the 8 speed trans has had my eye for a while. It'll pull anything I need it to and my experience with Ram trucks is very positive as well.
If I had to run a game warden beat the litter bug citations on my route would be sky high! Interactions with those that have firearms on the other hand would be not so.
I can tell you when I was a kid Dad would pull up to the gas station to get a pack of camels and gas up the beater with $2, and they washed the windshield and checked the oil.
BRK has been a no brainer for decades. Buffet's succession plan (RIP Mr. Munger) will insure it remains so. My goodness and heaven forbid, but if there were ever a breakup can you imagine the rewards that shareholders would end up with? No idea here, but it they would be on a staggering scale.
